Putting in the time

Today marks the second Saturday that my husband and I visited several book stores to make arrangements to have New Breed carried at their stores. The process itself is rather quick, which is great because our son has been with us each visit and we can go to more than one store a weekend. We have other commitments, so we try to coordinate the logistics and make the time count. It takes longer to travel to the next location than it does to make the deal. Right now, short orders are being placed. This is usually five books to test it’s selling potential. Today, we hit three stores and hopefully some tomorrow. Our son will probably get some quality time with his grandmother and his PC this time. There’s very little incentive for him to ride for hours in a car, only to stop briefly and not get anything out of it. Imagine if he got an item at every stop! I would never make a profit. Seriously, it has been a wonderful opportunity for him to look through books in his section and when we make a purchase, it gives him material for his school reading. This will be our life for the few weeks, until we hit every location that could potentially allow my book enough exposure to keep it moving forward, gaining popularity and hopefully getting into a large enough market where I can be a full-time novelist.

I have always had a passion for writing, even before I knew it! New Breed and my other horror stories have been a labor of love and the characters are like family to me. I am also writing for my Christian Faith. Please enjoy which ever genre appeals to you.
