New year, no time!

Last year drew to a close with as much drama as the beginning. My entire household caught the flu and the holidays were affected in a number of ways. I resigned that writing was not going to be a priority and chalked it up to a vacation. Sadly, I struggled to enjoy it.

I’m finding myself balancing part-time work with domestic duties, family care, in addition to working toward my status as an author. Budgeting and managing time is a task in itself. By the end of most days, there’s very little time left for “me”. I’m a daughter, wife, Mother, friend, employee, and family member. Most people are, but every dynamic is unique and some days are better than others. Adding Author to the list can feel like that last card on a house made from a deck of cards.

Life is a gift and every moment is precious. I’m painfully aware of this, which is why I’m frustrated. I can only hope that the new year will afford me the perspective to allot a few moments each day to my craft and also create more positive blogs than this one!

I have always had a passion for writing, even before I knew it! New Breed and my other horror stories have been a labor of love and the characters are like family to me. I am also writing for my Christian Faith. Please enjoy which ever genre appeals to you.
