My Bio

Providing a little insight on myself, I am a native Californian that has had a fascination with Vampires from an early age. My personal preference is for a more traditional representation. I’ve admired Edgar Allen Poe and Bram Stoker, not just for the dark natures of their writings, but the beauty in which they wrote. Their attention to detail and imagery is also what inspired me.

As I have posted on my Facebook page, this started as a writing exercise I challenged my self with when I had spare time. I was attending community college and working part-time. A brief vignette took on a life of it’s own, quite organically and my characters came to life and told the story.

My passion as a fiction writer took a dramatic turn on January 21,2020. That night, I went to the ER. I was extremely ill, but the illness was a multilayered mystery. Upon my second EKG, I was informed that I was having a heart attack. That started what was later called my heart event. I suffered three successive cardiac arrests.

In miraculous fashion, I was brought back from death multiple times. After surviving and being interviewed by People Magazine and The American Heart Association, I realized that I needed to use my talents as a writer and give my testimony in a book. My goal is to raise awareness, share my testimony, and help to save lives.

I am truly proud of my accomplishment and I hope many will enjoy the read!
